Maxi Cosi FeroFix FAQ
Questions about the Maxi-Cosi FeroFix ISOFIX Child Seat.
Is my child ready for a Maxi-Cosi FeroFix Group 2/3 car seat?
For the safety of your child, it is recommended that you use a Group I car seat (9 months to 3 1/2 years/9-18 kg) for as long as possible. If possible, wait until your child has reached the maximum weight limit. As long as the back of your child’s head is fully supported by the shell, making the switch is not recommended just yet, so that your child can be offered the best protection.
There are a few signs that should help you determine if your child is ready to move from their current Group 1 car seat to the Maxi Cosi FeroFix Group 2/3 seat
- Does he/she weigh at least 15 kg
- Is he/she able to buckle/unbuckle themselves
- Does he/she exceed the weight or size limits for the Group 1 car seat
If your childs head protrudes over the top of their current Group 1 seat, they must be switched to a group 2/3 child seat.
